  2. Super Babies
Super babies is the only Early Stimulation center that offers a comprehensive program aimed at maximizing the first two years of a baby’s life, ensuring the optimal development of their motor, cognitive, emotional, linguistic, and social skills in an environment where they will experience unique moments.

The Super Babies methodology is based on activities that develop Early Stimulation in all areas: on the floor, in water, musical, sensory, language, and physical. Additionally, we use Learning Centers, which consist of workstations adapted to each stage of the baby, where all activities are accompanied by music and movement that guide learning and strengthen the bond between parents and babies.

The Stimulation classes vary every week so that throughout the month, we are able to work on different techniques and objectives for the baby. Some of them include:

We also offer various workshops to help each family enjoy every stage of their baby’s development.

Método Doman (reading, math, and encyclopedic knowledge): Super Babies has been certified for over 6 years. We use the Doman method in classes and also train parents so they can apply it at home and continue their babies’ learning.

Baby Led Weaning Workshop: This workshop will help you start the formal feeding process for your baby. Our nutritionist will guide you through this period.

Baby spa

Baby Spa is a sanctuary for babies and their parents. We offer sessions that combine the best of hydrotherapy methods, the Doman swimming method, and massage therapy. As the first and only Baby Spa in Costa Rica, we use our own eclectic methodology for comprehensive baby stimulation.

The specially designed flotation devices we use (in some of our sessions) support babies in the water, allowing them a freedom of movement they would not otherwise experience.

Each visit to our Baby Spa includes a series of learning experiences derived from the water, massage, lights, and movement.

Special attention is given to providing the right amount of stimulation, taking into account the baby’s age and individual sensory threshold.

Hydrotherapy

THE BRAIN AND MUSCLES OF YOUR BABY GROW WITH USE

Hydrotherapy (floating and exercising in the water) supports your baby’s physical and mental development, as well as their ability to move with control and act purposefully on land. The more your baby can use their brain and muscles, the stronger they will grow.

At Baby Spa, your baby will find the freedom and space they need to progress and, most importantly, have fun while learning at their own pace.

TIME IN THE WATER IS ALWAYS TIME WELL SPENT

As your baby moves in the water, the small oscillating waves they create will help improve their balance and coordination, supporting their ability to crawl, walk, and swim. Even if your baby falls asleep in the water, the gentle rocking will continue with their rhythmic breathing.

The sensation of floating in warm water puts babies completely at ease and can promote a range of key benefits:

  • Muscle and skeletal strength increase due to the gentle resistance of the water.
  • Movement through the water positively affects the digestive and circulatory systems, which can reduce meconium levels and decrease the risk of jaundice three to four days after birth.
  • The subtle pressure of the water on the chest can increase lung capacity by strengthening the intercostal muscles and respiratory system.
  • Regular visits can benefit the cardiovascular system.
  • Swimming reflexes are stimulated and coordination develops as they learn to control their movements.

Benefits of massage for the baby

  • Promotion of bonding between parents and children and a secure attachment. This, in turn, facilitates emotional and cognitive development (i.e., the ability to learn).
  • Supports the stimulation of the digestive and circulatory systems, reducing discomfort from constipation and colic.
  • Relaxation: The combination of being in warm water along with a massage promotes relaxation and supports improved sleep patterns, leading to better attention, working memory, and emotional regulation in children.

Benefits for parents

  • Read and Respect the Signals: Familiarize yourself with your baby’s behavioral states and signals.
  • Provide Quality Bonding Time: Enhance the connection between parents and the baby through interaction, relaxation, observation, and communication.
  • Improvement of Parenting Skills: Boosts parents’ self-esteem and confidence, and helps with postpartum depression.
