WE ARE SAINT GREGORY

We want to thank you for your interest in the comprehensive educational offerings at Saint Gregory. We are the only institution in the eastern area of San José certified in Educational Quality by the Technological Institute of Costa Rica, where we build with you, The Best Legacy™
At Saint Gregory, we guarantee unparalleled Personalized Attention, where our students, from a very young age, can develop their full potential. We care for our students as if they were our own and create a supportive environment to address their current and future educational needs. Every space on our campus reflects our Four Great Pillars: Order, Discipline, Values, and Quality.
History
Saint Gregory is recognized and authorized by the Higher Council of Public Education of Costa Rica, in Session 41-86 of July 10, 1986. In 1987 , it joined the Association of Private Educational Centers (A.C.E.P). It has been a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network since February 1994 and of “International Educators for Peace” since August 1995. Saint Gregory School offers a multilingual educational option: Spanish, English, and French. Spanish is taught as the native language, English as the first foreign language, which is extensively acquired by all students who follow the educational process from the early years. French is provided as a complementary language. We interact with advanced technology and robotics, preparing students to face a globalized world of professional competition. We use active methodologies in the educational process, where students work with personal iPads in the classroom. In December 1999, the first graduating class of Saint Gregory received their Bachelor’s degrees, and to this day, all graduating classes have achieved a 100% pass rate in national Bachelor’s exams. In October 2018, the Institution was accredited by the IB Organization as a World School, transforming our methodology and teaching to these international standards. The first graduating class with the International Baccalaureate will be in 2021. In July 2020, we launched the Daycare program, welcoming children from nine months old. The Online Learning program was also introduced, offering a fully virtual Secondary Education with the Saint Gregory seal of excellence. In April 2021, we began the process of becoming an International School through COGNIA accreditation; an international organization focused on improving opportunities for students. This accreditation will allow us to issue school certifications with international validity.
Mission

“Integrate the education of our students into society to enhance global living, while being leaders in providing high-quality multilingual education.”
Vision

“We aim to be the best educational institution because we educate with passion, personal and communal commitment, values, and quality, shaping citizens who are supportive of their environment, respecting different cultures in the pursuit of peace, for a better world, and thus providing The Best Legacy.”
ADA
A.D.A. is the perfect combination for achieving a comprehensive education: ACADEMICS + SPORTS + ARTS, in a balanced and suitable mix for personal development in all these areas.
Saint Gregory provides students with the opportunity to develop in all three areas, allowing sufficient time to learn and practice through ADA in the cognitive and intellectual domains, complemented by artistic and sports activities chosen according to their preferences. The weekly hours required to grow in all ADA fields are included within a Saint Gregory student’s schedule. By the end of their secondary school experience, each student will be able to complement their university and professional life with sports and the arts.

Our 4 pillars
Royal order:
Unique discipline:
Form good habits that facilitate personal development and growth as a responsible individual, adhering to accepted social standards in our environment. Constant practice also shapes a positive attitude and develops self-discipline, leading to the fulfillment of duties, good performance, and self-reflection.
Comprehensive values:
Knowing how to discern what is beneficial and what is not. Developing a strong sense of judgment and a defined personality, leading them to firmly believe in their principles, based on their home upbringing and institutional feedback. Therefore, it is important for homes to teach alongside us the significance of honesty, personal image, living with truth, harmony, responsibility, and social commitment, striving for education and self-improvement to project themselves as good individuals. We work on many values, which are also extended to our students’ homes.
Effective quality:
Always strive for quality in everything. Quality as an educational organization, academic and formative excellence, human quality, customer service quality, professional quality in the classrooms, as well as in each and every one of our events, infrastructure quality, and overall quality.
Pet
Wolves are extraordinary animals; they never abandon their pack. They are both supportive and fierce. They are cautious and bold. They have deeply rooted customs, and from all of them emanates an aura of dignity.
We are WOLVESIt is a concept that represents many of the values of Saint Gregory, such as loyalty, respect, communication, sincerity, healthy coexistence, generosity, and teamwork. From this derives The Pack, a group where everyone takes care of each other, and the older students serve as role models for the younger ones. According to Francesc Miralles, writer and expert in personal development and spirituality, there are 9 principles inspired by the behavior of wolves that all humans should learn.: A special thanks to Don Leonardo Rojas, A special thanks to Emma Rojas’s father for his collaboration in designing this wonderful mascot.
